NOLA Vigilante Shootings

I don't know who has been following this. It is not surprising, but disturbing none the less.

Wow. This puts some things that people I knew from Algiers Point said after the storm nto perspective. I thought they were just bragging about how bad things were: "Peple were looting all over, pulling up trucks to people's houses and emtying all the stuff out." When I asked where someone would take such "loot" since the point was an island at that time, they told me "They weren't going to take things anywhere, cause we stopped them"
Messed up mindset, man. And Algiers wasn't the only place where latent racism and aggressive,race-based "vigilantism" happened, not that anyone who knows what a borderline-psychotic town Nola is would be surprised...

Meant to say "where latent racism became vociferous and aggressive, race-based etc."

Yes. One of the things that occured to me and, I am sure, to you, was how much certain kinds of people seemed to be, and seem to be, waiting for something just like this to happen. It is a distorted fantasy they live in that gets real people killed.

The guy talking about how he is now a Southerner needs to be adminstered a wood shampoo right quick.

attempting to silence the voices in my head.
