Pat Tillman's Still Dead

I was a fan of Pat Tillman's before he joined the army. He played strong safety, like me(well, 900x better than me) and he seemed to live his life how he wanted. I completely understand why he would feel motivated to join the army. I thought he was doing the right thing. Some people don't get it, and I understand that. In my opinion the guy was a hero. At first his death seemed like a tragedy. Then it started to look like a sham. Now it is starting to look like a crime. I don't want to comment before all of the facts are in, but things are looking weird. At best, his death was exploited as a PR stunt. At worst it was a political assassination. If facts keep coming out like they are this could have giant ramifications. If you don't know some of the details, check here.

I am very skeptical of conspiracies in general, but this certainly bears attention and investigation. Military and govt action in this case reminds me of my fry over the Gonzalez testimony: is there anyone alive who doesn't know that 90% of the time "I don't recall" is a lie? How many lies in a row must a authority tell before we decide we don't want them to be in authority any more? Even the Media, who, whatever their politacal agenda might be, can only flourish on a diet of awers, seem to go along with the charade that MAYBE, just MAYBE these assholes really don't remember, whether it be the details of the Tillman investigation or the hit-list for US Attorneys or who committed treason by outing Valerie Plame. Weird and wicked times we lie in. We have so much more transparency than the administration wants us to, and we squander and ignore it.

And my identity keeps changing because i am fiddling with my blog, sorry; all these are from David.

Your identity is too large to be contained within one appellation-which could also be read as 'your identity is too large to be contained in one appalachian' and therefor be a ironic commentary on your life- so why should you be limited to one name. Speaking of which, July is almost over and I am not at Jim Dyke's house...what gives?

Oh yeah. Pat Tillman. That shit is fucked up.

I agree with, when your entire testimony consists of "I don't remember," it does not seem on the up and up. We either have criminals for leaders or if he/they actually do not remember, then the leaders of our country are guilty of gross incompetence. Really gross, like eating pizza for 14 days in a row.

well chad, it is part of the whole Enron dynamic. For the entirety of the '80s we get told that CEOs deserve their gigantic salaries because they bring in large profits for the shareholders. Then, when it becomes clear that some rob their shareholders, workers, and the public at large, the defense is, "We don't really have any clear idea what is going on." Bush claimed he was going to be the CEO president, and there you have it. They claim to be so completely in charge as to defy questioning but so absolutely distant as to not be associated with the question itself. All Republicans are are bad girlfriends writ large.

Oh yeah, can I go out?

Yeah I was constantly thinking of the Enron fiasco, if invested millions of dollars in a company I would want him to be as forgetful as my grandma? I am sure that's how he got to be CEO and friend of the Bushes, "Um I don't recall wanting to be a business entrepuer." With our political leaders, or rather the country's political leaders, if they are so forgetful, how did they rise to their current position? I am sure it is a ruse, but the media and the congress should not let this be a "defense." It is gross negilence, and do not Doctors lose their licenses and go to jail for gross negilence.

If you can find all my spelling errors, you may go out.
